Thanks. Great video. I have hard brake problem with my KIA Ceed 2020 diesel. Its hard occasionally after I start the engine, last a couple of minutes and then its normal again. The Service changed tandem pump but it got hard again. They didn't mention anything about the booster..

The new style is better I'm sure. But I'd love to see a tire life test. I bubble balanced and have gotten long life on the tires in the distant past.

i've seen someone using these to pull a dowel pin.

I was feeling these same exact symptoms. then I blew a water pump and took it to the shop for that. the tech told me my back boot was riped and I should get it fixed. considering I was paying 1k for the water pump, I thanked him and told him I would come back. I just took it in yesterday and got a refurb cv axel(cant change the boot) and a differential flush. I didn't consider it would fix the shake, just doing maintenance. I was actually just starting to look back into fixing the shake and saw this video. Now I'm excited to go for a drive🎉

Thank you heaps mate, I was about to try and find what pulley was squealing, but this makes so much more sense! Especially because I just cleaned my EGR, I must've left a gap somewhere. Maybe a metal gasket shouldn't have been reused or a bolt not done up enough. Investigation time!

This video saved me a bunch of time! P2004,2008 on an '04 Focus, swapped the solenoid without testing the new one and thought I had to start chasing down a vacuum leak or actuator problem, tested the solenoid by hooking it up to current like you showed and I realized it was just busted! Swapped it out with another one, cleared the code, and ran it a while. Seems fine!

I changed oil yesterday on the Asx 2.2 diesel and it takes 7.4 litres

Mine does the same thing. Hard to tell which side. Right side axle is new but left side had 140,000 miles.

Thank you, i got a P006A code today and while researching that came across this video. I also have had a strange whistling noise when accelerating for the last couple of months. I took it to a mechanic and they said they couldn’t find any issues. I will check for a split hose and see if this is the issue for the whistle noise.

If your car won't start after trying this check your fuses. I blew the ecu fuse under the hood by jumping 16 instead of 9. Emissions and tpms lights were on and it wouldn't turn over

That's one of them clutch pulleys, I replaced loads of them

Does a second hand pump need to be coded in or is it a plug and play job?

wifes old car has been sitting for 6+ months, started maybe 3-4 times and not driven. I started to drive it and noticed hard to start when cold. I popped the bonnet to check the battery charge and there were 2 spanners, thinking I left them in there for 6 months after a service, went and checked them after watching your vid and they are 13/19mm, I must have played with cam timing... without lifting a spanner to it, id say your vid has got me in the right direction

I use mine to loosen the nut on my clutch fan on my 2012 ram with cummins. I couldn't find a punch long enough so i bought a piece of tool rod so i can use it up out of the engine bay where there is room...

Basically a manufacture understanding of a life time is about 8 years, So what they mean is they expect the gearbox to last 8 years so no oil change is needed. changing the oil will make it last longer than that.
